The Daring Divers From Hell Present:
The Galapagos

This page contains pictures from the DDfH trip to the Galapagos, July 9 thru 25, 2008. We barely had a quorum of "daring divers" this trip: it was just Jeff and I, along with "honorary daring diver" Carol.

The trip was broken up into two parts (three actually, for Carol & Jeff): First Carol & Jeff spent a week at a jungle lodge in the Ecuadorian rain forest. Then we all met at the Dann Carlton hotel in Quito and flew to Baltra where we boarded the Cachelote, a live aboard tour boat. The Cachelote took us "island hopping" for a week. We spent each day hiking on the islands and snorkling on some of the beaches. Finally, Carol departed for home and Jeff and I flew to San Cristobol where we boarded the Galapagos Aggressor I, a live aboard dive boat. We spent the next week diving various sites on the Galapagos Islands.

This site is under construction, so check back to see what new stuff has been added. I haven't put any of my movies up yet (I took nearly 100 small movies, most of which aren't suitable for publication.) I need to decide which ones to post, edit a few of them, etc. I'll get around to it eventually. For now, all I have up on this page is a selection of pictures I took both on land and underwater.

UPDATE 9/17/2008: I added a movie page with one movie: penguins on a feeding frenzy.
